One of the main reasons shaving bumps occur is that individuals sometimes shave too close which sharpens the edges in our hairs increasing the chances of inflammation when the already problematic hair curls back up in the skin, this also increases the irritating sensation we feel.
How to Prevent Shaving Humps:
- Begin each shave after having a warm shower to open up the pores and soften the hair, if a shower is not an option, you may well put a warm, wet washcloth over that person for about 2-3 min’s.
- Stop shaving day-to-day, and switch to shaving every single 2-3 days.
- Start exfoliating the actual skin before each shave, this removes dead skin cells and helps expose the hair follicles. Exfoliating could be done with a loofah, a scrubs, or maybe a body scrub.
- Make sure you’re not using some sort of dull blade by replacing it every several uses.
- Avoid shaving the identical area more than instances.
- Make sure you’re shaving while using the direction of your hair regrowth.
- If you are using a multi blade razor, consider switching to only one bladed razor as they’re just less prone to purpose shaving bumps, however, they cannot get as close a shave. Remember though, that one of the reasons shaving bumps occur is when we shave too closely.
- Start applying a lotion or an after shave product, but look for ones with natural ingredients (with no liquor).
How to Get rid of Shaving Bumps:
- Give your skin time to rest before you shave again.
- Resist the temptation of scratching the spot or squeeze your humps.
- Avoid the use of perfumes.
- Home Remedy 1# Produce a paste out of 3 to 4 aspirin tablets by crushing them in to a bowl with a small amount of hot water, this will generate a paste that works wonderfully to treat anything from razor burn to shaving blobs, but wait until it cools off a tad before you wear it your face (it will still be warm not surprisingly). Rub the paste to the problematic area and leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse it off with water.
